Key benefits:
Changing your pet’s diet and length of treatment:
The length of time your pet needs to stay on a reducing diet depends on how much weight needs to be lost. Weight should be lost slowly to ensure your pet stays healthy and only loses fat tissue from the body. Ideal weight loss is 1 to 3% of the bodyweight per week. Too rapid weight loss can cause feline hepatic lipidosis or lead to other illnesses. Once your cat has reached its target weight it should be weighed regularly to ensure that it maintains an ideal body weight.
Therapeutic veterinary diets are carefully formulated and recommended to be used in conjunction with veterinary advice and support. Royal Canin strongly recommend you seek advice from your Vet prior to and during feeding of any of these products to your pet.

Recommended by the vet as my cat wants to overeat. It’s a balanced diet and he really likes the pellets.
★★★★★

Our cat Immy is now 12 Being on this diet around an year now She really is her best shape! Lost 2 kgs gradually and now wants to play more and jump again over the counter! We couldn’t be happier!

Felix was 5kg overweight so our vets has a pet weight loss programme that involves this food, monthly weigh ins, adjusting the food amount as you go. It's important to take it slowly to help the cat adapt to it and not panic or become distressed. It really helped getting an automatic feeder to spread small feeds (that we know the exact weight of) through out the day prevented our cat eating the food so fast he would vomit it up. Over a year Felix has lost those 5 kilos and is fit and healthy!

Brought as my cat needs to lose nearly 2kg. She is always on the hunt for food, no matter which one given. This one so far she hasnt cried out. Hopefully this one continues to fill her and she loses those unwanted lbs. I'll be weighing her every 2wks for a start. Fingers crossed

My tubby little cat can mana on it although she does try to steal the other cat's food

My cat enjoys this product but I do not think that it fills him as it claims to do

Bought for my overweight cat in vet recommendation. You must stick to the feeding regime. Weighing the food out. My cat lost 800g in 6 months. We then increased her daily amount by 10 grams and she’s maintaining that weight. I Definitely recommend this food.

I have an overweight cat (7.2kg when we started with the diet). The think is that last 2 years she get 2kg and she's old now so the vet decided to give us thos food and to make us ration it. We bought an automatic feeder and we started to introduce the new food mixed with the ones I've already given her (oral + sterility + hair). She lost 300gr in the last 2months and her character has chaged a lot, she's lots more affective and joyfull. Happy for now ☺️

My cats seem to eat (or want to!) a lot more of this food than the less diet versions (their bowls are constantly empty now, whereas they never ate their while full fat portions) They do eat it, and seem content, but only time will tell whether they lost weight. However - to be aware - the large bags are NOT RESEALABLE. It seems a bit bonkers especially since the smaller bags are, but there you are. Hopefully they will eat it before it goes stale.

At first my cats loved it specially my boy 🐈 he started steeling his sister's food so obviously he did not loose anything but gain weight after a month him and sister stopped eating satiety support completely they couldn't come near it ive tried for 2 daus then I stopped giving them as they refused to eat it so unfortunately I can not say it worked

I use the recommended amount for overweight cats on my two senior cats. Our vet recommended satiety food. They have been losing weight AND not begging for food all the time! I measure out the amount for the day and feed 4 meals a day. That way they can graze. They like this variety as well. Very happy cats and very happy guardians!
